Understanding the Options With Aging Parents
Most family caregivers spend up to 20 hours per week caring for an aging parent. For many families, they are unaware what their options are and have never planned for a failing parent until their parent has already had a catastrophic event occur.
Because of this, one of my goals is to inform the public of what their options are, how they can start their search for the right care and understand all the resources that are out there.
We will discuss, in a round-table format, any questions and thoughts members have about their own person needs and discuss the different options there are for adult children as their parent get older and become less independent.
I welcome anyone that wants to learn more about their options like; adult day care, assisted living, nursing homes, in home care, what insurances cover, what lower-cost options there are etc. You may not need the services right now, but just want to learn more about what the options are.
I am excited to have you!
