BACC Members Named Chopps Champions

The Marriott Boston-Burlington honored three Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) members at their annual “Chopps Champions” ceremony. Lisa Healey of Paychex, Jen Dodge of Burlington Cable Access Television (BCAT), and Don Tocci of the UDT-SEAL Association were recognized as Champions. Chopps Champions is a contest held by Chopps American Bar and Grill at the Boston Marriott Burlington, intended to "salute to local heroes" in six different categories for their service to the communities in which they live and/or work. They have demonstrated excellence in their field through leadership, achievement, and volunteerism. Each hero receives 100,000 Marriott points, as well as a $1,000 donation to a charity of their choosing. Lisa Healey, Jen Dodge, and Don Tocci will be donating to Nashoba Learning Group, Relay for Life of Burlington, and the MS Society, respectively.
Lisa Healey was recognized as a Business Champion for her involvement in the Burlington business community, in which she has been involved over the past sixteen years. Lisa sits on the Board of Directors for the BACC, is a Burlington Rotarian, and an avid supporter of the BACC Charitable Foundation, which raises funds for local charities, as well as scholarships for BHS students. She takes pride in the work that she does both for her clients and for the community.
Jen Dodge, the executive director of BCAT, is this year’s Technology Champion. Jen works with a myriad of people; mentoring children of all ages in their technical performance, interacting with Town Management, Public Works, Police, Fire, Council on Aging, the Business Community, and School System personnel. She spends countless hoursto ensure that all members of our community remain informed and up to date on issues impacting our town.
Don Tocci, recognized as a Champion for Military Service, is a former Navy SEAL, who saw active duty in the Vietnam War. After serving his country, he began a career as a Biology teacher at Burlington High School, where he was also the Varsity Swim coach and Teacher’s Union Representative. Don continues to serve the community in his retirement, via the Burlington Rotary Club, Food Pantry, UDT SEAL Association, the VFW, Help Our Troops, MS Society, Mission of Deeds, and the BACC Charitable Association.
