Meet The Ambassadors: Jeannine Esposito

BACC Ambassadors are Chamber Members selected for their ability to inform, promote and encourage meaningful participation in Chamber programs.

How long have you been in your current career? Describe any promotions, and/or circumstances that led you to this career.
I’ve been a hairstylist since 1984 and opened my own salon, Sharper Image Hair Design in Burlington, MA in 1988.  Since I was a very young girl, I always enjoyed cosmetology and dreamed of owning my own business.  In November, Sharper Image Hair Design will be celebrating 30 years in business!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of your position? What drives you to stay in this position?

Over the years, I’ve met many clients that have blossomed into meaningful friendships.  It is most rewarding to be able to help someone feel wonderful about themselves, even when having a bad day or tough personal times. Most of my work days I’m surrounded by my clients/ friends who are always full of great conversation, laughter, and fun so my days don’t feel like work at all.

How long have you been a BACC member?
I’ve been a member of the BACC since December of 2017.

What led you to be involved with the chamber?
I became involved with the chamber after my husband died from a 10-year fight with leukemia, when I found that I had more time to dedicate to my business and love of networking.  I heard about the chamber through my friend, Sonia Rollins, and I became interested in the opportunity to become more active in the Burlington community.

Anything else to add?
I am truly honored to have been chosen to represent the Chamber of Commerce as their ambassador. It has been a pleasure getting to know Rick Parker and Katie who have both welcomed me and made me feel like a member of many years.  The events and talented members are truly inspiring and impressive and I look forward to continuing to build on the Chamber’s mission.
