Twist Bakery Expands to 2nd Location at 3rd Ave Burlington

Recently named USA Today’s “Best Gluten-Free Bakery,” Twist Bakery & Café owners Kathryn and Phil Ernst are expanding their allergen-friendly empire to Burlington, MA on 3rd Ave.  For nearly a decade, Twist has become a go-to spot for all diners, especially those managing food allergies. 
 
The demand for more allergen-friendly cuisine in the suburbs inspired the Ernst’s to scout another location for their popular eatery. After building relationships with dozens of North Shore customers who would drive to Millis just to enjoy one of their meals, joining the Burlington community seemed like the perfect fit. 
 
“It was a fully built-out space in a highly desirable location that allowed us to not only elevate our brand but also service a strong and welcoming community,” says Kathryn Ernst.
 
Twist is excited to open the renovated 2,700 square foot location can seat 110 with 70 inside and 40 on the outside patio on May 28th. Commuters can stop by on their way in or out of the T Station that is conveniently located across the street. Patrons can enjoy a full espresso bar complete with nitro cold brew and seltzer on tap. Twist Burlington will feature most of the same deliciously fresh menu offered in Millis, including items such as the coveted avocado toast, crème brulee oatmeal, vegan roll-ups and mouthwatering bakery items.
 
While Twist is a place safe for those who have food allergies, it’s also one that the whole family can enjoy.
 
“We really wanted to create an allergen friendly bakery where nobody would even be able to guess it was gluten-free. Our mission is to serve everyday cafe dishes with a twist. We can accommodate all of the top nine food allergens while at the same time, create food the whole family craves,” says Kathryn Ernst. 
 
All items at Twist are gluten-free, nut-free, peanut-free, seasonal and fresh. No artificial colors, corn syrup, or hydrogenated fats are used in the preparation of any of Twist’s products.
