To learn more\, email bhsinternship@bpsk12.org for information to arrange to meet students Wednesday\, November 19\, 2025\, 1:00 - 2:00 PM\, Burlington High School Cafeteria\, 123 Cambridge Street Burlington\, MA\n\n \n\n\n Why: Students are looking to gain knowledge\, skill\, and/or further understanding of a particular industry of interest to them through an experiential learning experience.\n When: April 6 - May 29 (except for April Vacation Week)\, up to 25 hours a week.\n What: The primary goal of the internship program is a focus on learning. Interns are looking for guidance\, to gain skill\, and to hone their education with hands-on work experiences that will increase their understanding of the industry and prepare them for the workplace. Duties and responsibilities should include tasks and projects that fall somewhere between making copies and mission critical. Internships can be paid or un-paid. \n\n\n Role of the internship host: \n\nThe internship host will provide the school with a letter accepting the student. Hosts can expect to provide guidance feedback to students and should plan to spend 1-2 hours a week with interns. Hosts can offer feedback to students on the following professional skills: Professionalism and Time Management\, Initiative\, Communication skills\, Collaboration and Leadership\, and Critical thinking and problem solving.\n\n\n\nSchool Support\n\nThe Burlington Career Exploration Team is always available to help problem-solve and resolve issues. Students are expected to be on time and meet job/internship responsibilities. Burlington High School will ensure students reflect on their experience through weekly assignments they submit to faculty each week\, and during the first week in June\, students will make a final presentation about their experience.
