DESCRIPTION:Join an introductory Tai Chi class where we will focus on movements to improve balance! Wednesday\, February 26\, 2025. 6:30 PM.\n\nNo experience necessary.\n\n \n\nWe often get asked if Tai Chi can help with balance.\n\nHere are some things to know:\n\n  Falling is a major public health risk for older adults age 65 and older.\n\n  1 out of every 4 US adults age 65 and older fall every year\, and falling is a leading cause of injuries and death in this group.\n\n  The National Council on Aging recommends balance-focused exercise as the primary strategy for fall prevention.\n\n  Mind-body movement practices\, such as Tai Chi and Qi Gong are appealing for adults. They are low-impact\, safe\, and combine balance\, strength\, and flexibility training.\n\n  Tai Chi and QiGong offer many health benefits in addition to improved balance.
