DESCRIPTION:Join Human Harmonies at Body Mind Systems introductory Tai Chi class where we will focus on movements to improve balance!  No experience necessary. We often get asked if Tai Chi can help with balance.\n\n\n\nHere are some things to know:\n\n  Falling is a major public health risk for older adults age 65 and older.\n\n  1 out of every 4 US adults age 65 and older fall every year\, and falling is a leading cause of injuries and death in this group.\n\n  The National Council on Aging recommends balance-focused exercise as the primary strategy for fall prevention.\n\n  Mind-body movement practices\, such as Tai Chi and Qi Gong are appealing for adults. They are low-impact\, safe\, and combine balance\, strength\, and flexibility training.\n\n  Tai Chi and QiGong offer many health benefits in addition to improved balance. Benefits we have seen with our students include increased flexibility\, strength\, bone density\, and stress relief.
