Azzur Training Center Partners with Northeastern University to Host Life Science-Focused GMP Workshops

Azzur Training Center, an Azzur Group company, has partnered with Northeastern University to host a series of GMP workshops for individuals interested in embarking upon or continuing their education in life sciences.

Scheduled for April 19 - 21, 2023 at Northeastern’s Burlington Campus, the initial course offering includes the following workshops:

• Aseptic cGMP Workshop & Cleanroom Activity
• Classified Space Cleaning & EM Workshop

As the pharmaceutical, biologics, and medical device industries continue to innovate and grow throughout the Greater Boston Area and beyond, a specialized workforce is necessary to support ongoing operations and manufacturing. Originally founded in Raleigh, NC in 2020, Azzur Training Center (ATC) specializes in offering classroom learning focused on Good Manufacturing Practices in life science, complemented by hands-on experience in a cleanroom environment. ATC’s partnership with Northeastern University empowers recent graduates, industry professionals, and job seekers alike to gain unique, first-hand experience in the cleanroom environment.

Led by industry veterans, including Shelley Preslar, President of ATC and renowned industry leader, students gain actionable insights about the daily operations in a GMP environment from those who have lived it firsthand. With more than 90 years of combined operations and training experience, the team at ATC develop curricula geared at addressing the industry’s most common challenges.

Azzur’s workshops are intended for a variety of audiences, including:

• Individuals interested in the life science industry as a possible career (students, people changing industries)
• Employees of life science companies who could benefit from refreshers or hands-on experience
• Construction personnel who build life science facilities
• Architects who design clean manufacturing space
• Real estate personnel interested in catering to life science clients
• Anyone interested in learning more about working in a cleanrooms environment using aseptic techniques
