Faculty Concert-A Taste of NOLA: The Traditional Music of New Orleans
Inspired by a recent visit to New Orleans, faculty members Tad Hitchcock and Valerie Walton will present "A Taste of NOLA," featuring songs from the period of jazz history that still has such a profound influence in New Orleans today. These are songs made famous by Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Danny Barker and more.
The ensemble will include Tad Hitchcock on guitar, vocals, and banjo; Valerie Walton on saxophone and clarinet; and additional guest musicians Anne Linders, trumpet; Dan Fox, trombone; Matthew Berlin, bass; and Jon Kraus, washboard.
