Dr. Maryam Salehpour, a family physician at Clarity Health & Wellness invites you to join our local walking group in Burlington! Walking is the single most important thing we can do for our health. This doctor-led walking group is a fun and safe place to go for a walk, learn about health, and meet new friends. The event is FREE and ALL are welcome!
Walk with a Doc is an international nonprofit organization started by Dr. David Sabgir, a cardiologist in Columbus Ohio. In 2005, he invited 100 patients and community members to go for a walk with him in a local park. Since that successful day, the movement has spread around the globe. As a result, hundreds of communities are enjoying the countless benefits of walking with their healthcare providers on an ongoing basis.
People of all ages, fitness levels, and backgrounds are welcome to these free, ongoing events. First, you’ll take a few minutes to learn about a current health topic, then you’ll spend the rest of the time enjoying a healthy walk at your own pace. You are encouraged to ask health questions and socialize with others in a fun, relaxed setting. Please feel free to bring your family or friends!
We will adhere to all recommended Covid-19 safety precautions from the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public Health. As some trails go through wooded areas, to protect against tick bites, it is advisable to wear light colored clothing with long pants and a long sleeve top and to use tick repellant spray. See you by the Soccer Field Parking at 1 Blanchard Road and don’t forget to bring your own water.
