Burlington Board of Health to Update Hazardous Materials Regulations



In an effort to update antiquated rules and guidelines, the Burlington Board of Health has drafted new Regulations for the Storage and Disposal of Hazardous Materials.  The updated regulations are designed to protect the health and safety of businesses, workers and the community, while providing exemptions for establishments using only domestic cleaners, backup generators or substances otherwise regulated by the MA Department of Public Health.
The Burlington Board of Health anticipates a vote on the new regulations at their next meeting on Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00pm.  Burlington organizations with questions or requiring clarification are encouraged to attend the meeting in person or remotely to participate.
