Meet the Ambassadors: Jose Alejandro

BACC Ambassadors are Chamber Members selected for their ability to inform, promote and encourage meaningful participation in Chamber programs.

How long have you been in your current career? Describe any promotions, and/or circumstances that led you to this career.
I have currently been working in banking for a little over 5 years. I started with Cambridge Savings Bank in November of 2014 and was promoted to assistant branch manager of the Burlington Third Ave branch within 12 months. After getting involved in the community and working hard I received another promotion 14 months later and became the AVP Branch manager of Third Ave.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of your position? What drives you to stay in this position?
When I made the switch to banking it was about making sure I could interact with people. For me life is all about interactions, and the more you have with different types of individuals the more you can learn and gain understanding. Banking allows me to meet new people every day and challenges me to find ways to connect with them. Hands down that’s the most rewarding aspect of my position.

How long have you been a BACC member?
I have been a member of the BACC for just over three years now.

What led you to be involved with the chamber?
It was important to me to learn the lay of the land in Burlington and to meet as many individuals as I could to help my transition into my new role. After asking around, the name Rick Parker was given to me as a man that could point me in the right direction. After meeting Rick and seeing his passion for the business community and the Chamber I realized the BACC was exactly where I needed to be in order to accomplish my personal as well as business goals.
