Middlesex Community College Offering Free Electronics Training Program
The Electronic Technician Training Program will prepare program completers to enter the electronics or manufacturing industry. The skills covered include:
Hand Soldering (40 hrs), Printed Circuit Boards, Introduction to Electronics, Manufacturing Fundamentals, Quality. Basic Math and Computer Skills will be offered to all students. Online work includes OSHA-10 and 30 hours of online learning through ToolingU/SME, leading to an online credential: Certified Manufacturing Associate".

Program Overview: 173 Hour Electronics Training Program
Dates: March 23 - May 22, 2026
Class Schedule:
Mondays and Wednesdays 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Middlesex Community College, Bedford, MA
Eligibility Requirements to be fully funded to participate:
Participants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Be looking for full-time work upon completion of program
- Interested in working in the electronics or manufacturing industry
- Score at least 8th grade level in reading and math (MassHire Career Centers will provide the testing)
- Be unemployed or underemployed
- Underemployed = earning less than 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for their Workforce Area (Median income chart provided separately; updated at contracting)
Once accepted, all participants must take a tour of the training facility prior to enrollment.
