The First Annual “Stuff a Shuttle” Drive with TransAction Associates Yields Success
Burlington, MA — The Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with TransAction Associates & Corporate Shuttles, wrapped up its first annual Stuff a Shuttle food and toy drive on December 10th, and the results exceeded all expectations.
Thanks to the generous support of BACC members and the local community, the inaugural Stuff a Shuttle drive successfully collected over 900 pounds of non-perishable food items for the Burlington Food Pantry as well as hundreds of new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots — donations that will help local families and children in need throughout the holiday season and beyond.
TransAction Associates coordinated the collection and shuttle pickup of filled donation boxes from workplaces and community locations across Burlington, Billerica, Bedford, and Cambridge. Volunteers and staff loaded the shuttle to capacity, delivering the donations directly to People Helping People and Toys for Tots, who are working firsthand with local families experiencing food insecurity and economic hardship.
Several BACC members played a leading role in supporting the effort by hosting donation boxes, spreading the word, and contributing resources to make the event a success: NW Pest Control, HD Physical Therapy, Fusion Academy, Ryder & Phelps, and Office Evolution Burlington. Their involvement helped drive the strong turnout and generous contributions during the campaign. This first-ever Stuff a Shuttle initiative demonstrated the heart of Burlington’s community spirit during the holiday season.
Following the strong community response, the BACC and TransAction Associates have indicated plans to make Stuff a Shuttle an annual event, building on this year’s momentum to expand outreach and increase donation totals in future years. We are already exploring ways to grow participation and coordinate or improve logistics to better serve families in need. Reach out to TransAction Associates or the BACC to learn more about participating next year.
The success of the first annual Stuff a Shuttle drive highlights the power of community collaboration — when individuals and businesses come together for a common cause, meaningful change happens. Burlington’s generosity this holiday season will make a tangible difference to neighbors who need it most
