Healey-Driscoll Administration Launches $2.5 Million Employer Child Care Innovation Fund
The Healey-Driscoll Administration has launched a pilot program helping Massachusetts employers expand access to affordable, high-quality child care for working families. The fund is being administered by Commonwealth Corporation Foundation, in partnership with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), the Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED), and the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD). Together, these partners are inviting employers and community organizations to test innovative solutions that support families and strengthen the workforce.
Who can apply?
- Employers in Massachusetts (or groups of employers)
- Licensed nonprofit child care providers
- Nonprofit intermediaries, like chambers of commerce, community foundations, and community colleges
- Tuition benefits for employees
- Shared-cost child care models
- Expanding or reserving child care seats
- On-site or near-site child care facilities
- Flexible schedules and Dependent Care Assistance Plans
