Lahey Clinic Launches $150 Million Campaign to Expand Access and Elevate Patient Care

Burlington, MA – Today, Lahey Clinic announced the launch of The Campaign for Lahey Clinic: care, elevated, a $150 million, multi-year fundraising effort designed to meet the evolving needs of patients and communities Lahey serves.

This comprehensive campaign will expand access to specialized care, meet growing regional demand, and advance clinical excellence across Lahey. As part of this campaign, Lahey Clinic, formerly known as Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, will return to its historic name. The Lahey Clinic name reflects the organization’s legacy of providing collaborative and integrated care across specialties, with a patient-centered focus and aligns with the goals of the philanthropic campaign.

“Through The Campaign for Lahey Clinic, we are inviting our community to partner with us in shaping what comes next for Lahey,” said Susan Moffatt-Bruce, MD, PhD, president, Lahey Clinic and divisional president, Beth Israel Lahey Health. “Together, we will expand access to specialized services, invest in our people, and accelerate innovation—strengthening our ability to deliver exceptional care to every patient we serve through our clinic model. As part of this campaign, we will return to the Lahey Clinic name, which reflects our philosophy of care, honors our legacy, and positions Lahey for the future.”

Philanthropic support through the campaign will focus on four pillars:

  • Creating state‑of‑the‑art care environments that enhance the patient experience
  • Training the next generation of health care leaders
  • Accelerating innovation and discovery in clinical care and research
  • Ensuring long-term agility to respond to emerging health care needs

Early support from leadership donors has already helped lay the foundation and serve as catalysts for the campaign.  The fundraising effort is led by campaign chair Shannon Robins and chair of the Lahey Board of Trustees Jane C. Edmonds, and guided by honorary chairs Dr. Emanuel and Mrs. Sheila Landsman, Sophia and Bernard M. Gordon, and the Family of Edward and Pamela Avedisian, whose generosity and leadership are advancing Lahey’s strategic priorities.

The Campaign for Lahey Clinic will raise $150 million to further our work in meaningful ways, enabling us to adopt new technologies, expand into new communities, and transform patient spaces,” said Shannon Robins, campaign chair. “At its core, this effort is about creating a Lahey built for the future.”

“We have a clear vision for Lahey’s future, and with philanthropic support, we can ensure we meet the needs of our patients today, tomorrow, and for generations to come,” said Jane C. Edmonds, chair, Lahey Board of Trustees. “We are deeply grateful to the donors whose early generosity has helped make this moment possible, and we are excited for what we will accomplish together in the years ahead.”

The new campaign builds on a legacy of generous donors who have helped shape Lahey into the organization it is today. The Campaign for Lahey Clinic is the organization’s first public philanthropic campaign in 10 years.
