Renovations Underway for New UMass Chan-Lahey Regional Medical Campus

 

Burlington, MA – The leadership of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and UMass Chan Medical School recently signaled the start of renovations for the new UMass Chan-Lahey Regional Medial Campus with a wall-breaking at the school site on the grounds of the hospital at 29 Mall Road in Burlington.

 

Participating in the wall-breaking were, from left, Susan Moffatt-Bruce, MD, PhD, President, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center; Anne C. Larkin, MD, Vice Provost of Educational Affairs, UMass Chan Medical School; Anne Mosenthal, MD, FACS, MAMSE, Chief Academic Officer, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, and Regional Executive Dean, UMass Chan Medical School-Lahey; and Val Baciarelli, Interim Chief Operating Officer, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

 

The new campus is scheduled to open in spring 2024, with 25 students in the inaugural class. The campus will feature four learning community classrooms with state-of-the-art technology; a new state-of-the art simulation space and standardized patient program with four exam rooms; student lounge with study pods, collaboration space and kitchen; office suite with conference room for faculty and administration; staff lounge; lactation and serenity rooms; and more.
