Pool Attendant (Temporary - Full-Time)
Responsible for opening and closing of the Indoor & Outdoor pool areas. Maintains the exercise room, and swimming pools to ensure they are in a clean and orderly condition at all times. Observes and guards the pool areas to ensure guests are following all rules and regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors activities in the pool area to ensure that guests are following all rules and regulations. Ensures all people in the pool area are hotel guests.
- Logs pool readings per Health Department regulations. Adjusts ph and chlorine levels as needed.
- Performs daily maintenance of pools such as, vacuuming, cleaning strainers and back wash, and sweeping and hosing down to keep pools free of algae.
- Cleans and wipes down furniture in the pool area daily.
- Brings clean towels to the pool area at the beginning of the shift, and takes used towels that are left to the laundry room at the end of the shift.
- Ensures that all required life safety equipment i.e. water ring, rope, backboard, hook, blanket, first aid kit, are available and in good condition.
- Cleans all glass in the pool area, and maintains the exercise and pump room.
- Able to carry and lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and life safety procedures, and follows all key control procedures.
- Provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
- Wears proper uniform and nametag at all times in accordance with the standards of personal appearance guidelines.
- Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management.
