The BACC held their 6th annual Black Tie Gala benefit, presented by The Herb Chambers Companies, on February 3rd at the Cafe Escadrille. This annual fundraiser supports a sector of the BACC’s Charitable Foundation called the Charitable Partnership Program, which consists of five local charitable organizations that serve the Burlington area. The Herb Chambers Companies was back again this year as the Presenting Sponsor of the event. Since the BACC Charitable Foundation was founded and the concept of the Black Tie Gala had been introduced, The Herb Chambers Companies has always been first in line to support these initiatives and support those in need in the Burlington community. Corporate citizenship isn’t a slogan at Herb Chambers Companies, it’s ingrained in their people and their dealerships.

One of those people, Herb Chambers VP Nicolas Gennetti, was back for the second year in a row and had the chance to lead the special VIP toast for sponsors of the event, as well as address the entirety of the crowd in attendance, and he emphasized the importance of supporting these local community initiatives and putting events like this together. He told BCAT TV, “The Black Tie Gala is such a wonderful event that they put on, and it's to benefit multiple charities within the town of Burlington. And beyond that, the BACC just does a tremendous job supporting the local communities, and supporting local businesses”.

To begin the evening, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour complete with hors d’oeuvres, photo opportunities, and signature cocktails, while filling raffle ticket boxes hoping to win the big prizes of the night. Raffle prizes included Celtics and Red Sox tickets, a smart TV, golf experiences, gift cards to the highest quality Burlington restaurants, and much more.

Before dinner, BACC sponsor representatives Bob Buckley and Sonia Rollins also took time to personally thank all of the sponsors of the evening. Buckley, Senior Partner at
Riemer & Braunstein, also expressed his gratitude for the Herb Chambers Companies, saying, “I also want to thank [The Herb Chambers Companies] for being such an outstanding corporate citizen to this community”.

BACC President Rick Parker is extremely proud of the development of the BACC Charitable Foundation and the partnerships that have been built between the charities and the Burlington business community. He stated, “Some of the things that go on behind the scenes, the organizations that get involved with charitable endeavors, being down at the food pantry, helping people load food, delivering furniture for Mission of Deeds, these are the things that make businesses really special here in Burlington”.

As the speeches finished off and guests enjoyed their dinner, the night continued on with dancing and mingling in the beautiful grand ballroom, before the winning raffle ticket numbers were announced towards the end of the night. After a great night of eating, drinking, raffles, and dancing, it's safe to say that the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Black Tie Gala benefit was a success.

The BACC would like to thank our generous sponsors and partners for their support of this event:
